Humble Beginnings
It all began on a sheep farm. Dale Ogden, grandfather of QFloors founders Chad and Trent Ogden, was a humble sheep farmer in Central Utah. After a harsh winter that wiped out most of his flock, Dale decided to change careers, and moved to southern California and opened the Broadloom City carpet store. His son, Steve, decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and later moved back to Utah to open his own carpet store, called Ogden’s Flooring and Design.
Customer-Centric Focus
From a young age, Chad and Trent learned how to treat and value customers from their father, Steve. They worked for him as teenagers, rolling carpet remnants and helping in the warehouse, while learning the ins and outs of the flooring industry. Chad later received his degree in Computer Engineering, but never forgot the lessons he learned as a youth. Trent, who earned his bachelors in accounting and an MBA, stayed in the flooring business with his father, Steve, and helped him get the most out of his business’ profits. While looking over the finances for Ogden’s Flooring and Design, Trent noticed that even though sales were high, the profits weren’t being utilized to their fullest potential. Steve, Trent and Chad decided to look for a flooring software for Ogden’s Flooring and Design that could produce accurate numbers and reports. After a fruitless search, Chad stayed up all night and drew up the first design for QFloors, which now hangs in the office.
QFloors Today
Today, QFloors is used by thousands of customers throughout the United States and Canada and is known to be the most user-friendly, customer-centric and innovative flooring business management software in the industry. Even through some ups and downs in the early years, Chad and Trent kept their focus on putting the customer first and delivering the best solutions possible to help flooring dealers achieve financial success. Because of this, QFloors has seen a 19% growth rate each year in the last decade. With many new innovations and products coming later this year, QFloors continues to be unmatched with what it offers the flooring industry – both as a software and as a true partner for its customers.
