The Power of Collaboration

“When ideating my dream collection, I wanted to create multiple levels of luxury,” said interior designer Amber Lewis. Photo: Loloi.

In a world where every purchase can be influenced, design collaborations continue to dominate fashion, beauty, music and interior design. The competitive world of area rugs is no different. More rug manufacturers are turning to celebrity interior designers to bring attention to their glittering creations. Powerful collaborations allow rug makers and designers to reach new audiences, narrow the scope of product released by respected tastemakers, solidify brand values, and create more hype than any one collection can typically generate alone. We’ve rounded up a few of the buzz-worthy rug collaborations on the market in 2022.

Amber Lewis x Loloi

Loloi collaborated with interior designer Amber Lewis, founder and principal designer at the Los Angeles-based Amber Interiors Design Studio, for a new launch of seven rug collections, an assortment of decorative pillows, throws and wall art.

Grounded in a laid-back, West Coast aesthetic, Lewis’s designs for Loloi offer a collection that is at once playful and imbued with her signature style. Her design-forward rug collections include a mix of high-end, hand-knotted pieces that carry the GoodWeave certification, as well as more accessible, power-loomed designs, suitable for a range of settings and high-traffic areas.
