Annually, the Starnet Dream Team Celebration recognizes the dynamic selling relationships between Starnet Members and the Starnet preferred vendor partners. Floor Trends had the opportunity to interview the winners in a series of interviews, which ran on the TalkFloor daily enewsletter this summer. Here they are all in one place.

Meet Travis Cloud, vice president of business development, M. Frank Higgins & Co.; and Jerry Guadio, sales and technical representative, Ardex. The team says Cloud is often referred to as the closer and Guadio has the technical know-how and extensive field experience that are needed for client meetings. Since quality is paramount, this team works with preferred vendors to achieve optimal result to present to the architect and end user. Their approach is the secret sauce to specifying what is needed to solve a client’s specific flooring challenge.

Meet Craig Morse, business unit manager, Diverzify, and Dan Shuffelton, commercial flooring consultant, Milliken. While this team has only worked together for two years, they have begun building momentum in their target markets of focus: government and education. They decided to focus on these segments because they are consistently funded, and they have many connections within these groups.

Starnet Dream Team: Floor Systems & Design and Armstrong Flooring

Meet Lonny Peck, president and owner of Floor Systems & Design, and Jack MacKeverican, market manager, Armstrong Flooring. Peck has more than two decades of experience in the flooring industry and MacKeverican has over 44 years in the industry. The team said they have developed targeted strategies over the years to integrate into new markets and cultivate existing relationships.

Meet Zach Gregory, sales consultant for Bonitz, and Milly Cort, territory manager for Milliken. Both team members are driven to win business together and create success for their companies. They are both focused on relationship development with end users, general contractors and the design community and say they have created a reputation for quality installations using the highest quality products at competitive pricing.
